The modern Nordic furniture brand MINT Furniture will participate in the annual highlight of the London Design Festival, the uK’s largest and most well-known trade event for architects and designers, 100% Design London. It will take place 21-24 september at olympia London, located in the heart of the capital.
MINT Furniture was founded in 2009 by two designers – Janis rauza and Ieva Andzane, of North european origin, where historically the design core values are functionality and natural aesthetics. What started as creation of custom-designed bespoke items has now grown into a remarkable brand, while maintaining the uniqueness and adding a personal touch to every piece made at MINT Furniture factory.
MINT Furniture covers all essential living areas, from the dining room to the bedroom, starting with the iconic screw stool to the more recent elegant cabinets and chairs of Black edition. All of the above will be shown at 100% Design London, where MINT Furniture for the third time will be among the world’s finest designers exhibiting theyr newest creations. Also, during the event the new MINT Furniture catalogue will be launched, that is a visual compilation of everything that the company has accomplished until now.
MINT Furniture highly values ease and authenticity. simplicity of the shape, sculptural lightness of the design and easy installation as well as high quality of the materials have always been company’s signature. However, the goal of the exhibition in London is not merely to display the company’s recent performance, but also to present designers’ vision for future interior trends and give visitors a taste of what tomorrow’s modern home might look like. With the Black edition MINT Furniture is moving towards the classics and proven values, without losing modernity and passion for sustainable design and natural materials.
Designers of MINT Furniture believe that black is not a trend — it is an eternal statement of style that stands for sophistication and timeless elegance. In this statement some might see similarities with the iconic little black dress, and if we continue to look for parallels in the fashion world, Details magazine in 2010, said some very apt words about MINT Furniture.
“The seating equivalent of Skinny Jeans. Simultaneously minimal and inviting, this is furniture that goes with everything.”
Monica Khemsurov, Details magazine
MINT Furniture ships worldwide, but the largest range of products onsite can be seen in the recently opened Nordic design concept store Design Mind in Hague, Netherlands (Noordeinde 87g, 2514gD, Den Haag, The Netherlands), which fuses vitality and style of urban culture with the ease of country living.

]]>NEW Black Edition 2016 embraces the sculptural lightness, strong proportions and charismatic silhouette that has always been our company’s signature. We have added black stained finish to our ash wood selection to give an elegant new look to both modern and classical interiors.
The Black Edition is an exquisite example of furniture that is smooth and velvety to touch by still keeping its natural wooden grain perfectly visible.
Our latest products all serve as comfortable dining or bar elements. MINT cabinets and chairs compliment each other and bring aesthetics and geometry to any contemporary interior.
Black is not a trend - it is an eternal statement of style.
For over seven years our company has produced sustainable, quality designs made from the best materials. The MINT Black Edition is a great new addition that we are sure will please both our old and new admirers.
By applying black shade to our collection we have changed both the look and the overall MINT charisma. Black furniture is conceptually and visually strong and dominant, and it won’t go unnoticed. Artists have always played with black and the message behind it, but whereas in the past black was shrouded in mystery and magic, today it stands for sophistication, glamour and luxury.
Het Noordeinde, a charming area around Noordeind e Palace, the working palace of the king of the Neth- erlands, is considered one of the most unique and inspiring shopping districts of Europe. Now The Hague’s royal neighbourhood can add the new Nordic design concept store Design Mind to the list of its outstanding occupiers - museums, art galleries and high end boutiques.
Light living, the philosophy behind the newly opened Nordic design concept store fuses vitality and style of urban culture with the ease of country living. The store’s interior is designed around the original 19th century settings with classic oak parquet floor and white ceiling ornament moulds. Walls are neutral light grey, just right to blend seamlessly with graphic artworks and to highlight design objects.
Focusing on product quality and remarkable design, Design Mind showcases carefully chosen furniture and contemporary interior objects by designers who are shaping the looks of our future. Light living means to be selective in a good way, to eliminate the unnecessary by choosing well-made valuable prod- ucts that bring beauty and simplicity into our already oversaturated everyday life.
The designers represented in the store and its owner Dzenita Priedite, who is also the concept author and creative director of Design Mind, share the passion for handcrafted work, aesthetic approach to design, eco-friendly materials and know the power of sustainable thinking. Dzenita believes that home is not just a place where to recharge emotionally, it is also a reflection of our values, so they better be genuine and inspiring. She is constantly on the lookout for new and unique products that would compl ment the store and allow her costumers to enjoy light living by bringing the Design Mind into their homes.
The modern furniture brand MINT covers all important living areas from dining room to bedroom, while their newest masterpiece is the freestanding kitchen. The selected ceiling and floor lamps are made by the company Mammalampa. Their innovative approach to the way they combine materials is what one could call eco luxury; a modern twist of corroded steel, gold, wood, paper, marble and Swarovski crystals. The Design Mind also offers the exceptionally elegant yet sustainable Manu Nest hanging chair by Maffam freeform, gorgeous glass tableware by An & Angel, Latvian hand woven linen home textiles by Studio Natural and minimalistic homeware from Mājo.
To make the home furnishing even more pleasant, the Design Mind team and back office also provide individual product customization and highly professional interior design services.
